Mr. Ralph Vargas formally served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army. He retired from active duty in 2009 after a 23-year career where he served in a variety of positions as an armor and foreign area officer including deployments to Germany, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Iraq as well as teaching in the Department of Foreign Languages at the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York.

Mr. Vargas graduated from New Mexico State University with a BA in German and Political Science in 1988 and graduated from Indiana University with a MA in Western European Studies 1999. Currently, he is the Recruiting Operations Officer for IU’s Army ROTC Program.
